The Severed Reality
Raoul d’Montford is a high-ranking Orlesian noble who made a grand reputation for himself as a captain during the Fereldan rebellion. Raoul is hailed troughout Orlais as a great war hero and is rumoured to be in high standing with the Empress herself.
After the war, Raoul was granted the title of general and the fief of Montford, where he had an imposing fortress built.
Raoul d’Montford has two children from two seperate marriages: His son, Gabriel and a much younger daughter, Céleste.
two decades after the Fereldan rebellion endend in a defeat for Orlais, Raoul suggested that Ferelden should be retaken, but the Empress would have none of it. Raoul has been plotting in secret ever since, making good use of his son’s talents in politics to gather allies to his cause. Raoul and his sypathisers call themself “Le Collier” (The Collar), a name which symbolises the aspired taming of the hated “Fereldan dogs”.
